Formerly of The Third Kind (duo with Capital Steez), Pro-Era, and Dark Chip Syndicate, Jakk Da Rhymer is a seasoned songwriter from Brooklyn who’s quietly amassed a cult following in Philadelphia’s hip-hop scene the last decade. Renowned primarily for his intricate wordplay, distinctive vocal style, and authoritative stage presence, Jakk's performances stand out for their genuine, engaging nature and demonstrate a raw confidence that is exceptionally rare in an industry often dominated by standardized trends, insubstantial networking, and over-refined public images.

Latest Release:

Jakk's latest musical offering, and first release with Madcap Records, "Shit Outta Luck" serves as the inaugural collaboration with Philadelphia-based producer Hafafuk, whose cinematic and grizzled beats harmoniously complement Jakk's improvisational flair and diligent approach to his craft. Started in late 2023, what was intended to be a collaborative single/demo session turned into 4 months of recording, which culminated in 21 songs.

Remarkably, not a single track took more than 15 mins to lay down from top to bottom and often recorded after working hours. This is the first of many to come from Madcap & Jakk Da Rhymer.
